The Sharon Hill Public Library Art Gallery is now accepting submissions for its new Virtual Art Exhibit program. Located in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania, our arts programming seeks to give emerging and established artists from across Pittsburgh — and beyond — an opportunity to present their work online. Submission and acceptance are free.

Artists will be featured and recognized on our website, www.forstorox.org, and will join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Selected artists will be shown in groups of three. Artists are encouraged to submit four examples of their work for consideration.

Artists in the following disciplines are encouraged to apply: Painting, Drawing and Animation, Screen printing, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Filmmaking. The list of disciplines may expand in the future.

The Sharon Hill Public Library will be accepting submissions on a continuous basis. Please submit to GBeavers@forstorox.org.

THE GREATER PITTSBURGH ARTS COUNCIL cares about artists and has assembled numerous resources that can be found here: http://www.pittsburghartscouncil.org/about/news/25-press-releases/5196-supporting-the-arts-during-covid19

The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council has been asked to coordinate the distribution of an important COVID-19 Impact Survey for Arts Organizations by a group of local funders to better understand how Southwestern PA’s nonprofit arts and culture community has been affected and to build a response that addresses both short-term and longer-term needs. It will also allow us to convey your needs to additional funders, policy makers and others.

The survey can be linked to here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/IMPACTOFCOVID19ABA

Your survey response information is needed quickly. Please reply by 5 pm, on Monday, April 27th. You’ll see a Thursday deadline on the survey document – please disregard.
